UDA: Why Won't The Police Leave Us Alone?

The UDA has issued a statement demanding that the British government ends its "suppression" of protestants in the north. The UDA claimed last week's loyalist riots in Belfast and surrounding areas were a response to "severe provocation" and the "political use" of the police and soldiers against Protestants.

The loyalist terror group said: "We demand a clear and unequivocal announcement from the British government that the Protestant community deserves the right to live in peace without the fear of suppression and containment."

So what do they want? Do they believe the police should only be used against catholics? Loyalist rioters took to the streets: the police responded to maintain law and order. What's the problem? From what I saw, the rioters were lucky they got off so lightly. The UDA cannot understand that the old RUC is no more- the PSNI, with the mechanisms of Patten and the Police Ombudsman, is now the most regulated police force in the world. If you riot, expect a response.

And I'd like to know how the UDA believes protestants are suppressed. The only people suppressing them are the loyalist drug dealers who peddle filth in estates and blow rivals away.

The real losers are the economy of the north, the education and health service from which money has had to be diverted to pay for the policing of these riots, and the ordinary taxpayers who have to hand over large chunks of their hard-earned wages to fund these spides' animal instincts.

If I was Gordon Brown, I'd hand a bill to the Orange Order, the UDA, the UVF and the Unionist parties, and get them to fork out the money to pay for the disgraceful behaviour of their foot-soldiers.

Are these people living in la la land?! what about the hundreds of people who were afraid to leave their houses during the rioting for fear of having their cars hijacked, or even worse.....and what about the pensioners who were robbed before having the bus they were travelling on set alight.....
