After the great success of the Quinn Support Group's first public meeting in Cullyhanna just over a week ago, another meeting has been arranaged for Crossmaglen. Initially it was to have taken place in the GAA club, but it has now been moved to the community centre. The meeting takes place next Thursday, 13th December, at 8pm.
Given that there was standing room only at the Cullyhanna meeting, let's hope there's enough room in Cross to fit everyone in...

any idea on the rundown why GAA refused the meeting place.
I haven't heard yet. From my understanding, full permission had been granted and everything had been done by the book. Then all of a sudden it was withdrawn. If I hear more, I may publish it.
The decision or order to renege was made at an executive committee meeting last Tuesday night. They shamed themselves.
how did they shame themselves
It's pretty clear. Doesn't even need the saying.
The murder of Paul Quinn was a heinous crime - the family need all the support they can get from all quarters in South Armagh - as a follower of Crossmaglen Rangers I must register my disgust at the U turn and withdrawal of permission to hold a meeting in support of the grieving Quinn family in the Rangers Hall -
The family must be deeply saddened and disappointed at this turn of events - especially with the Christmas season upon us - it beggars belief.
It does seem strange that they have previously allowed 'community safety' groups and ex-prisoner groups to use the hall, yet when a group seeking justice for a murder victim with the backing of the people of the area try to book it, they are turned away (after having been told initially that it was ok).
I went to the meeting on Thursday night and was amazed by the bravery of the Quinn family - even though at one point there was an orchestrated attack on the Quinn Support Group and one of the family members by SF and their supporters - I was absolutely digusted with the antics of SF in the meeting and their comments after the meeting - have they no respect for the people of South Armagh - do they think we are 'going to go away' and not question what happened to Paul Quinn ? The people of South Armagh are sick of being told how to think and act by the bully boys in SF and their private army - it's a case do as I say not do as I do
